The International Conference “Rights and Realities in promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights” was held (10-11) Nov 2008, Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Conference Objectives.

The two day conference aimed to:

  •  Provide an inventory and analysis on the challenges in implementation of a rights-based approach in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights.
  •  Identify strategies and tools to overcome challenges in working with a rights-based approach.
  •  Provide a platform for networking and exchange.

This two-day international conference was organized by World Population Foundation (WPF) and Youth Incentives.

SchoolNet Uganda is the local implementing partner for “The World Starts With Me” (WSWM) project. The WSWM program is a rights-based Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) currently implemented in 100 schools in 29 districts of Uganda.

The conference was attended by three participants from the SNU-WSWM family. World Population Foundation (WPF) and Youth Incentives covered all the costs of travel, accommodation and feeding of the three participants from the SNU-WSWM family.
